The representatives of the project met on 22 August 2017 in Tarnow during a study visit. The meeting was attended by the representatives of the City Council of Tarnów, Municipal Enterprise of Communal Sp. o.o., Municipal Energy Company of S.A. (MPEC), Cracow University of Technology, Voivodship Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Cracow, Energy Conservation Foundation and Norsk Energi. The idea of the Municipal Energy Cluster (MKE) was discussed, and the identification of the existing condition was started, which was the basis for the commencement of joint work.
The expert from Norsk Energi presented examples of Norwegian urban energy-based thermal waste recycling clusters (full presentation in English available here), while MPEC presented the idea and state of preparations for the creation of an urban energy cluster in Tarnow.
